The only time I get in front of the mic is for EastCast – a live, bi-monthly radio show on Resonance FM about the arts, the culture and community in East London, which I present with my audio partner in crime, Katie Callin.
Katie and I also founded EastCast Away – a quarterly audio open mic night. We invite anyone who wants to submit literally any audio they want as long as it’s under 6 minutes. Then, we invite everyone to a location – SET Dalston in the winter, Dalston Curve Garden in the summer – and everyone sits together and listens to each other’s audio.
Sometimes, being an audio producer can be an isolating experience, so we started EastCast Away as an excuse to get the audio community hanging out with each other.
